Over 600 job seekers, many of them young and enthusiastic, flocked to the event to connect with 28 leading employers in the hospitality sector. The fair provided a unique platform for aspiring professionals to explore career opportunities and learn about the growth potential within the tourism industry.
Chairman Craig Marshall expressed his delight at the turnout and the quality of the applicants. “It was inspiring to see so many young people, some as young as 19, ready to embark on their hospitality careers. Their enthusiasm and professionalism were truly commendable,” he said.
The job fair wasn’t just about connecting job seekers with employers. Attendees also had the opportunity to learn about educational pathways offered by the Antigua & Barbuda Hospitality Training Institute (ABHTI) and the University of the West Indies Five Islands Campus. These institutions play a crucial role in equipping individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the tourism industry.
